The position of the property is unique; it is situated on the edge of the village of ‘Serinya’ near Banyoles, which is famous for the tourist attraction of three caves where the oldest prehistoric man in Europe was found, buried. The property itself is no more than a 10 minute walk from this village, but positioned in the countryside away from any traffic, there would be no restriction on noise as the closest neighbour would be a 3 minute walk, and the property is situated with spectacular views of the Pyrenees mountains and in private landscaped / wooded gardens of 3 acres. The Accommodation: The ground floor has 2 double bedrooms, 1 with a double bed the other with 2 singles, both accessed from a central hall which also leads into an open garden room that although is within the house, opens up to the outside and the garden room leads in turn to a bar complete with bar top and stools and washing up sink for glasses. Also, on the ground floor from the outside is a sauna certainly large enough for 3-4 persons together with an outside shower. The middle floor can be accessed by stairs from the ground floor or by the outside stairway from the swimming pool, leading in to either the kitchen or sitting room.The kitchen is equipped to a very high specification, large fridge/freezer, good oven, dishwasher etc, etc., and combined with a breakfast room, which, includes the original inglenook fire, which is working, and the original bread oven which is internally illuminated. This room leads in to an open library area, which in turn leads in to a good size sitting room with television and satellite, together with the master bedroom, which, again is a double room, but with a very large en-suite bathroom including a Jacuzzi bath. This bathroom can also be accessed direct from the library on a double lock system. Leading up to the top floor there are 3 double bedrooms all en-suite together with a large banquet area for dining, with a split level seating area which is ideal for dancing. This top floor banqueting area has super views of the mountains and woods. All the bathrooms have power showers with multi jets, there are two mountain bikes, numerous different fruit trees within the garden, which is obviously very safe for children with virtually no traffic on the private road.
