El Mirador is situated in a spectacular and unusual location just off the A332 midway between Altea and Calpe. The Sierra Bernia mountain range is to the rear and the apartment overlooks the Campomanes Marina, also known as the Greenwich Marina (due to its location on O degrees longitude).

The exclusive and peaceful complex has spacious open plan communal areas with attractive borders planted with exotic flowers and shrubs. The complex is never very busy as most owners only use their apartments for occasional holiday use.

 

The Accommodation:

The apartment will accommodate between two and six people. 

  • It is spacious and consists of one double bedroom with sea views and an en-suite bathroom.
  • Two further twin bedded rooms sharing a large bathroom. 
  • All the bedrooms have large fully fitted wardrobes with plenty of hangers and hanging space. There are fixed electric heaters in two bedrooms and two mobile gas heaters for the rest of the apartment.
  • Each bathroom is equipped with a sink. WC. bidet. big bath, shower and heaters for the winter months. 
  • The lounge has two very comfortable settees.
  • There is a TV and video with an excellent stock of pre-recorded English tapes for our own use which you are welcome to use. 
  • The TV does not receive Spanish programs. A satellite system is installed to receive a limited range of channels together with certain BBC radio programs. The unit will take an Analogue Sky Card for a wider range of channels. There is also a Hi-Fi unit with multiple CD player and a library of paperbacks.
  • The lounge and dining area leads on to a large balcony which overlooks the sea, marina and mountains.
  • The separate kitchen is fully fitted with a four burner gas hob, electric oven, microwave and fridge freezer. 
  • The utility room offers good storage and an excellent drying area plus a washing machine. We also provide a drying rack, iron, ironing board, three large fans for the summer and a sun umbrella.
  • There is a large outdoor swimming pool for summer use with plenty of sun-beds. The view from this area is stunning and, due to its position, it is a lovely place to sunbathe both in the summer and winter months. It is very sheltered and benefits from all day sunshine. A large private sunbathing area near the pool overlooks the marina.
  • A heated warm indoor pool is open from approx. the 3rd week in October for use in winter and spring.

The Area:

Altea: This is a bustling very Spanish town not spoilt by tourism. There is a daily indoor market for fish, vegetables and fruit. as well as a. good selection of shops. Altea is considered one of the most attractive places on the Costa Blanca. There are many excellent and reasonably priced restaurant in the town. The Tuesday market is considered by many to be one of the best in Spain. Altea has a beautiful new promenade which runs between the sea and the town and incorporates play areas, seating, car-parks and restaurants. This is particularly attractive at night. A must is the old town with its cobbled streets leading to the square and church which is visible from miles around.

Calpe: As well as having two lovely beaches there is a busy fish harbor which has daily fish auctions. Around the harbor, located at the base of the Penon de Ilfach rock are a superb selection of fish restaurants all wing for your custom.
